General Update

First off, a piece of advice for anyone who likes to see movies; don't see Alien vs. Predator Requiem. It's basically a 'How To Make A Bad Movie In Three Easy Steps' film. They took a bunch of unlikable characters, waited until about half way through the movie before they bunched them all together for some reason, then had an a. alien, b. a Predator, or c. the hybrid of the two kill each other and them off one by one. I wasn't expecting a good movie, and I was still let down. Still, as I pointed out to the friends I saw it with, any movie where an Alien/Predator halfbreed makes a pregnant woman deep throat him, and gets her knocked up with alien babies has at least something going for it.

I got some cool toys for Christmas. My new alarm clock that plays my iPod through its speakers is awesome. I also got the Across The Great Divide DVD (Silverchair and Powderfinger touring together across Australia), a couple of NIN CD's, the first season of Heroes on DVD, and a really cool torch for my car. Good for when road rage sets in, and you need something to see in the dark with while bashing someone with something heavy. Two birds, one stone. Bravo.

I'm reading Interview with the Vampire again. It's been so long since I read Anne Rice, mostly because anything she wrote after Lestat makes me wish I was blind. I need a new book. I'm really looking forward to seeing Sweeney Todd. Anything with Depp and Burton involved is going to be, at the very least, interesting.

I almost scored a PlayStation3 for $500, including two controllers, three games and a memory card. I never wanted a PS3 until it was offered to me at that price, but I haven't heard back from the seller. Probably realized he could get a Hell of a lot more then $500 for it. Such is life.

Man, that whole Alien deepthroating/baby making thing makes me want to see it. Even AFTER reading this bad review.

Still probably won't, though. I'd have to have a real need to kill a couple hours.

You hate anything after Lestat? Isn't that...everything except Lestat and Interview? Wow.

Sweet gifts. I'll update about mine. Not sure that I know what a torch is for a car...some kind of blinding headlights? Must be Aussie lingo.

Sweeney Todd looks good. Heard it was, too.

Hello.
No shit AvP2 was a bad film. Did you pay to see it cause that would've hurt? Also, the internet can provide plenty of videos involving deep throating.
Anyway, I'm just letting you know that NIN dvd was very, very cool, the 2nd best concert I've seen after Rammstein's Live Aus Berlin, we can talk more about it later cause I don't want a conversation with the internet.

I don't want to invade too much space in your comments, but I simply wanted to say how proud of you I am. Dale, you punctuate. As an English major, I have to give you an A+. Good job.

I'm glad to see that you are doing well.

An A+? Geez, that's pretty impressive. But yeah, turns out I have learned something of the English language between last we spoke and now. I wonder if I'm getting better or spell/grammar checkers are just becoming more advanced. Probably the latter.

As for taking up space, don't be silly. It's there to be filled, and I was awfully glad to hear from you. I hope everything is going well for you, and thanks for the message! A+ indeed.

Ha, thank you. It's been far too long since we've spoken. So, if you don't mind, I shall like to read over your blog from time to time. You make your life sound so interesting. I have yet to do that with mine. How sad am I? :P That is the reason why I fail to have a blog. I would end up filling it with my studies of books and poetry. Michael is the poet. I'm just the well-literate.

Like you, Anne Rice is still very well indeed. I have to thank you. I have almost all of her novels now. I've read all of them. However, seeings how I am the nerd, you can mostly find me reading Charles Dickens or D.H. Lawrence.

Dale, there is so much to tell you. If you ever want to chat, add me to MSN. I'd love to hear from you. :)

It has been a long time. I'm glad to hear you'll be checking up on my blog, it didn't attract as many readers as I'd hoped. Yours is always a welcome comment.

Anne Rice, man. I'm glad she's doing well, but I don't really read much of her these days. Having said that, I did just finish up Tale of the Body Thief. I'm thinking of reading Memnoch the Devil again, but only if I don't get the urge to read Deathly Hallows. Yeah, I dunno, I went through a massive Anne Rice phase, but now I find her writing really annoying. Aside from Interview with the Vampire, and The Vampire Lestat. I still love Lestat more than I'll ever love another human.

You should start using your blog though. I'd totally read it. I'd also read all your poetry and studies. Who knows, maybe I'll learn something.

Anyway, it'd be awesome to chat to you again, and I'd love to add you to my MSN but I don't have your email address. If you like, you can email it to me at dale.c.mallows@gmail.com, that way you won't have to post it here pubically.

Hope to hear from you.
